The PAVA 2017 Annual Members’ Exhibit opening reception and awards ceremony was held on Thursday, November 30th at the Creative Pinellas Arts Incubator in the Pinewood Gallery. 

The following awards were presented to members:

Best of show – Kris Gregg for her painting “Sam from Micanopy” (Pastel)  
1st place – Nancy Lauby for her painting “Great Horned Owl” (Acrylic on preserved palm frond)
2nd place – Melissa Miller Nece for her mixed media piece “The Horrible Man”  (Colored pencil, watercolor, clear gesso and hurricane debris)
3rd place – Lisa Fitch for her photograph “Endless Reverie” (photography)
 
Honorable mentions (in alphabetical order):
 
Tina Koufas-Eisenbacher – “Opening Day at the Races:  From the series ‘23rd Century Racing”  (RA-4 Chromogenic/Analog Photography/original)
Pam Pawl – “Peaks and Valleys” (Hand-woven scarf, hand dyed, silk /bamboo/tencel)
Rebecca Skelton – “Into The Beyond”  (Mixed media)
Pamela Joy Trow – “The Balance of Nature”  (Acrylic and ink)
Lorraine Ulen – “Storm Watch”  (Acrylic with oil glazing)

The exhibit will be open to the public on the following dates and will coincide with the Florida Botanical Gardens’ “Holiday Lights in the Garden”  and the Pinellas County Heritage Village “Holidays at the Village” event dates: 
Thurs. – Sat., December 7 – 9, 4pm – 8pm;
Thurs. – Sat., December 14 – 16, 4pm – 8pm;
Thurs. – Sat., December 21 – 23, 4pm – 8pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit! Visit the Gallery to see these award winners and over 100 more pieces of the finest art the area has to offer, and then take in the Holiday Lights displays!
