“An Introduction to Giclée Printing.”
by Scott Menaul, of Menaul Fine Art and My Favorite Art Place, in Clearwater, Florida.
Scott Menaul is a local abstract artist and giclée print maker. He owns several art related companies in Clearwater under the name “My Favorite Art Place.” These include Menaul Fine Art, Menaul Art Printing, Canvas Zoo and Image Creations of Florida.
Scott was an early pioneer of giclée printmaking working with the first printers adapted to the art industry at IRIS Graphics in 1991. IRIS sponsored his first photography gallery show, “Scenes of Africa,” in Boston to promote his photography and their digital fine art printers.
Scott bought a 60” large format printer in 1996, printing his own abstract artwork and printing for his marketing communications firm in the Boston area.
After moving to Clearwater in 2003, he began selling his artwork at outdoor art festivals while simultaneously building a business printing for other artists and photographers in the Tampa Bay Area.
He owns a 6,400 sq. ft. facility featuring his own artwork, a giclée print studio and custom picture framing.
