PAVA Meeting (Holiday Party) Minutes
November 13, 2007

PAVA Administrator Barbara Kampe Hanson led discussions about:

1. PAVA web site
• Thumbnail images are now available on Members' List page. These come from artists' Gallery page.
• Gallery page costs $40 and consists of 4 images and 2 text sections. Thumbnail will be included with gallery fee.
• On Blog page is a section, Members' Announcements, where members can announce their own individual shows, achievements etc.
• PAVA Minutes are now listed on web site under Members' Resources, and will soon be accessible from home page.
2. Questions about meetings and low attendance issue.
• Discussion whether it would be better to have meetings monthly or bi-monthly;
• Decided to hold a topic/main meeting every other month have, then alternating with a social meeting, hosted by different members.
3. Ruth Eckerd Hall
• Available to PAVA June to August 2008;
• Possibly curate/jury, one piece can be submitted, must be "family friendly" content.
4. Cool Art Show
• Date is July 19 and 20, 2008.
5. PAVA membership due on Feb. 1.
• Must be a member to be in Cool Art and Ruth Eckerd shows.
6. Marketing postcard
• Working on producing a postcard with thumbnail images by artists to be sent out as publicity/promotion for members.
7. Candace Ripoli presented information about:
• The Museum of Fine Art, St. Pete is opening a new wing and has invited PAVA to participate.
• March 22, 2008: Party and Art Parade -- Create costumes based on paintings in museum. Must include movement and sound. Parade will be by Straub Park. Can also do activities in park (possibly art activity with kids) in booth or tent.
• Discussion by members about this event (opening of new wing). List was passed around to sign up people interested in participating.
8. Great food, drink, and fun were had by all. Thanks to the many members who organized, contributed and attended!
