2Cool Art Show 2015

Press Release:
MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

2Cool Art Show‐ February 7th & 8th 2015
Gulfport Casino 5500 Shore Blvd. Gulfport, Fl. 33707

This is the fourth year for the 2Cool Art Show in Gulfport – and it just gets better every year!
Hosted by The Professional Association of Visual Artists (PAVA), the City of Gulfport and the Gulfport Downtown Merchant Association.

This juried fine art and fine craft show takes place on Saturday, February 7th and Sunday,
February 8th 2015 from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. Thirty eight juried fine artists will show and sell their work within the Gulfport Casino, located at 5500 Shore Blvd. on the waterfront in Gulfport. Parking and admission are free for this weekend event.

An invitation from the City of Gulfport encouraged this new show to emerge – an event that showcases the artistic work of PAVA’s statewide members. Since 2012, the City of Gulfport and the city’s Merchant Association have been delighted with the response from the community and have asked us to come back for a forth show. For the past 26 years art patrons have enjoyed PAVA’s July Cool Art Show in St. Petersburg.

The Professional Association of Visual Artists (PAVA) is proud to be co‐sponsoring this event with the City of Gulfport in a historic building that has been referred to as the “heart and hub” of Gulfport. 2Cool Art Show’s proximity to Valentine’s Day provides an excellent opportunity to find that special fine art gift for your special person.

This is also a chance for our winter visitor/resident to see the high caliber of work including hand crafted visual and functional works in paint, wood, ceramics, photography, metal, glass, mixed media and jewelry that PAVA has been presenting for the past 26 years during the summer Cool Show.
Make a day of it and visit the show along with the charming waterfront town of Gulfport Florida.

Gulfport Gets Cool! 2Cool Art Show 2012

By all accounts, PAVA’s juried 2Cool Art Show, held at the Gulfport Casino the weekend of February 11th and 12th was a great success! The weather was sunny, but blustery and cool. What a great setting, overlooking Boca Ciega Bay! Not a great day for the beach in February but the crowds turned out in droves for a new, indoor art show on the Tampa Bay art show calendar.

Comments were heard to the effect that though the show was smaller than our summer Cool Art Show (34 booths with some artists sharing), the quality of the art and fine craft was very high and the venue was ideal.

Attendance for the weekend was about 2500 people; many artists reported good sales. There was plenty of parking and downtown Gulfport bustled with activity. People made a day of the 2Cool Art Show and shops and restaurants — all within easy walking distance of the Casino.

Many thanks to the city of Gulfport, the staff of the Casino and to all of our artists and hard-working volunteers.
